I met Alex early on Thanksgiving morning 2022.   I have a place I like to go when I am walking early in the morning.  This special morning there were a few fisherman who arrived early to try their hand at catching some fish during the final days of the Salmon Run that occurs every year. 

Where Alex was standing provided a perfect place for lighting.  I asked if it was ok for me to include him in my photo.  We began a conversation which was such a lovely experience.   When I had taken this photo Alex requested I send it to him,  he said he couldn't be with his family this year and he wanted them to see him doing something he loved.  I was truly honored to be able to give a copy of this photo to this beautiful young man who gives his time to helping the homeless in his spare time.  I will hold this special morning as one of my most treasured memories.
